Housing

The organizers of SPU can help students arrange housing with the following conditions:

single room in private houses or flats with access to a kitchen and bathroom
the places are situated within 40 minutes by public transportation from the school and the city center
the price does not cover meals
housing does not guarantee communication opportunities for the student
the price of 200,-USD is for one bed/month
the price for housing is paid during the first week of the course to the owner of the housing facility

NOTE: Housing costs are not included in the tuition fee for the Summer Prague University.

How To Join Summer Prague University

Payment:	Method 1:	By money order or personal check (not traveler's check). Your check should be made payable to SF Servis s.r.o.

DISCOUNT: Students applying for the whole program pay the reduced price if they send the application form and the tuition at least 10 weeks before the program starts (till April 24, 2000 for the July term, by may 22, 2000 for the August term, inclusive). The proof for the bank transfer is the date on the bank transfer receipt, the proof for the check is the stamp (= date) on the envelope it was sent in. Without that the reduced price cannot be applied and the students will have to pay the difference of 50,- USD or use the paid 480,- USD/ 510,- USD only for 90 lessons.
If paying the reduced tuition, please, be sure to send us a copy of a document (the bank transfer form for instance) showing the date. Without that the reduced price cannot be applied.

How much to send:	1) To pay for the language course only, send 480,- US$ (if paying 10 weeks and more before the program starts) or 530,- US$ (if paying less than 10 weeks before the program starts). You can also pay with an equivalent in another currency.
	2) To pay for the language course and the weekend excursion, send 510,- US$ (480,- US$ + 30,- US$) if paying 10 weeks and more before the program starts or 560,- US$ (530,- US$ + 30,- US$) if paying less than 10 weeks before the program starts. You can also pay with an equivalent in another currency.
	3) DO NOT send any money for housing before arriving in Prague.

Reimbursement: 30 days and more before the program starts = 80% of the original tuition, 29-15 days before the program starts = 60% of the original tuition, 14-1 day(s) before the program starts = 40% of the original tuition. After the program has began students will get no reimbursement.

Please note that the application deadline expires 4 weeks before the course begins. If you miss this deadline, contact us. New students can still be accepted on as space permits up through the first day of instruction. The application form will be accepted only if accompanied by check, money order or proof of payment. The communicative languages of the SPU agency are Czech and English.
